Wildebeest Migration Update 2018

The Great Wildebeest Migration in the plains of East Africa is one of the world’s most thrilling, intriguing and spectacular displays of wildlife behavior. As such, our travelers place great timing importance on having the best front row seats to see the event.

After the thrill of the just concluded FIFA World Cup, attention now turns to the 7th Wonder of the World, the Great Annual Wildebeest Migration.The 1000 km journey for an estimated 1.4 million wildebeest (and zebras) which begins in the Serengeti in Tanzania and heads to the Masai Mara in Kenya is a must-see marvel for all wildlife lovers.
The latest information received indicates that large herds have already crossed into the Kenya side and huge crossings of the Mara River are expected over the next few months.

Word reaching us this morning is that the lovely herds of wildebeest have started entering the Masai Mara, with spotting been done around Sala Camp.
